BEARDED
OYSTER CO.
Bearded Oyster Co. began in 2022 to connect our community to the flavors and reciprocity of sustainable aquaculture practices around us.
We are a family-run business captained by Chris Brown - an oyster and kelp farmer on the Hood Fjord (“Canal”) since 2021. We come from a background working in hospitality at high-end farm-to-table restaurants and have a passion for sustainable (and hyper-local) food systems.
Bearded Oyster Co. shucks at pop-up events around the Olympic Peninsula and offers private shucking events throughout the PNW.
We love providing a unique oyster-farmer-to-plate experience to highlight the magic and minerality these bivalves have to offer us and our ecosystem.
