Bearded Oyster Co. began in 2022 to connect our community to the flavors and reciprocity of sustainable aquaculture practices around us.

Chris Brown has been an oyster and kelp farmer on the Hood Fjord (“Canal”) since 2021 and hails from a background working in hospitality at high-end farm-to-table restaurants with a certification in urban sustainable food systems.

Bearded Oyster Co. shucks at pop-up events around the Olympic Peninsula and offers private shucking events throughout the PNW.

Bearded Oyster Co. is on a mission to provide a unique oyster-farmer-to-plate experience and highlight the magic and minerality these bivalves have to offer us and our ecosystem.
